Paul Oakes

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Approved Counselor Supervisor in Maryland

Paul received his Bachelor's degree in Cross-Cultural Studies from Washington Bible College and his Master of Education in Counselor Education from California University of Pennsylvania. He has worked in the mental health field in Washington County for nearly ten years. Paul believes everyone should have a safe and healing place to work through life's difficulties.

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor 

After over 25 years serving his community in human services and mental health as a coordinator, facilitator, and advocate for individuals of all ages and life stages, David has honed a calm and inquisitive demeanor that grounds his practice. David completed his M.A. in Professional Counseling and holds a B.S. in Theology. He specializes in marriage, family, and couples counseling. He possesses special training and certification in several parenting protocol programs (not to mention being a father to four children of his own). Outside work, you're likely to find David enjoying a walk with his dog, perfecting the landscaping of his yard alongside his wife, researching new advances in the tech world, or catching a game.

Samantha Jarvis PCS Counselor

Samantha Jarvis

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor 

Samantha received her Masters' in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO. There, she underwent clinical training at the Behavioral Health division of Barnes Jewish Hospital in downtown St. Louis. Samantha has experience working with clients of all backgrounds, from those living with Depression and Anxiety to those struggling with feelings of dissociation and those coping with trauma and loss. Her experience includes work with both adolescents and adults.

Fred Edell

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Approved Counselor Supervisor in Maryland

Fred graduated with a Master’s Degree in Theology from Wesley Theological Seminary and worked as an Assistant Pastor in the PCUSA. He uses this training in working with clients, inviting them to tap into their unique faith expression and incorporate it as a resource for healing. Fred belongs to the broad faith community that seeks to find God everywhere in the world and in every human expression of spirituality that meets the litmus test of love. He strives to evolve as a mental health practitioner by integrating psychological and theological training to promote social justice, healing, and growth in individuals, families, and communities.

Areas of clinical interest and practice include Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI), Trauma, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, ADHD, Behavioral Problems with Children, Adolescents, and Teens, and OCD, working with individuals, families, and groups. He is also an Approved Supervisor by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and a Certified Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) practitioner.

Meghan Edwards

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor 

Meghan has over 14 years of experience working with adults from various backgrounds and mental health concerns. She believes therapy is not a one-size-fits-all and that treatment should be oriented to a client’s strengths and needs. Meghan has a strong interest in working with individuals learning to manage their anxiety, depression, and past trauma. She works to create an accepting and honest therapeutic relationship through which she and the client will work together to achieve goals that will lead the individual to increased self-awareness, confidence, and improved mental well-being.

Meghan Edwards

Whitney McCuskey

Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)

Whitney received her master’s degree in social work from Salisbury University. She has worked in the mental health field in Washington County for over five years. She is passionate about helping people become more authentic versions of themselves. Whitney focuses on developing therapeutic client relationships through honest, supportive, and collaborative engagement. She works with adolescents and young adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and other concerns. Whitney enjoys reading, watercolor painting, and spending time with her husband and cats in her free time.

Katlyn Krietz

Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)

Katlyn received her Bachelor's degree from Elizabethtown College and her Master of Social work degree from Fordham University. She has experience working with adults and children from multiple backgrounds who have had a variety of mental health diagnoses, such as anxiety, depression, autism, PTSD, etc. Katlyn has an interest in working with adults or children in an individual or group setting with anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, past trauma, coping skills, behavioral problems, anger, or other concerns. She strives to create a safe, judgment-free zone where clients can freely share their thoughts and concerns through positive therapeutic-client relationships.
